Yet another uneventful weekend at the hostel; stuck in this god forsaken land, slaving over endless amount of Economics essays, with my trusty iPod being the only consolation. It doesn't help either that my family is on vacation (yes, the horror, without me!) at a beach resort; imagine, I could be sunbathing at the beach now instead of raking my brain for answers to this rather tricky inflation and unemployment essay I've to do.

Pic above shows the view from my suite window. It was one of those rare clear-blue-sky days when the photo was shot. To accentuate the deep blue of the sky, I did something with the exposure.

OK, TV updates: Watched the first episode of Firefly which wasn't that bad. Actually had a good feeling that this would be a hit until I surfed around the net and saw some really bad reviews for this sci-fi show. The fact that it didn't have the chance to go beyond season 1 says a lot about its quality. Ditto Jake 2.0. The regular-jock-turned-superhero premise seems hackneyed; the only novelty here being the introduction of nanotechnology in a TV series.
