The photos above were taken during my camping trip. Enroute to the jungle, we stopped and took a breather at this bus stop where Aveena spotted a couple of little kids, whom she thought would be great subjects for her photographs. After asking permission from their mother, we started snapping away. But the cute tyke (pictured above) was so shy that he refused to have his photo taken. It was a blessing in disguise, as it goes, because children are meant for candid shots, never posed ones. The photos of the other kids who were so ready for the camera didn't turn out quite as nice; there's an unnatural quality about them.
Remember the wonderful collection of music I told you guys about? Yeah, I love them and apparently so do a couple of guys at the hostel. I've been approached more than once by people who want a big piece of my stash. Now, kindly put yourself in my shoes; say, you've painstakingly built up a wonderful collection of songs and scores over the years (yes, it has been that long since the inception and the subsequent demise of Napter; over cursed dial-ups too, if I may add). You've spent hours tagging the songs with the appropriate information and equally long hours rooting out decoys. Then, someone comes along and asks you to "share" the collection. He hands over a couple of blank discs, costing less than a dollar apiece, expecting those 1000++ songs to be in the discs by the end of 10 minutes.
Papa often says "If you want something, you earn it; there's no such thing as free meals". I've been brought up that way; I believe in giving and taking and vice versa. That's why when I was offered access to my friend's 5 gig worth of music, I declined, knowing very well that it wasn't fair to him and neither was it to the talented people behind those great songs.
Anyway, the new episode of The Adventure of Seinfield and Superman (a cool marketing gimmick of a certain credit card company) is out; it's as good if not better than the first one. Do check it out. More cool TV ads that will never make it to Malaysian TV can be found here.
On the blog scene: Took me quite a while to figure this out, but here you go, a blog hosted over at Blogger penned by one of my lecturers. It's an interesting read, definitely none of the I-ate-this-for-breakfast stuff you normally find in personal blogs. The new Blogger, speaking of which, is pretty neat; love those simple and nice templates they have.
Emily, of A Hole in My Head lamented about having lurkers on her blog (Blog lurkers are those who frequent a blog but never leave comments). Personally, I don't mind people not wanting to leave comments. I mean, it's your rights; lurk if that's what you want. Nevertheless, it would be a joy to hear what you have to say. So, do leave something in the comment box once in a while.
