Over the weekend, I had the honour of mingling with a group of brilliant people. Just how brilliant they are? Well, several are heading to Cambridge Univeristy, one is Harvard-a-going and another is on her way to Wharton School of Business (Donald Trump got his education here).
So, how did someone as unexceptional as yours truly came about meeting these smart lads and gals? See, I went to this camp of sort by mistake. Had thought that it was the psychology camp (known affectionately as the “psycho camp” among friends) which my sponsor stipulates I’ve to attend before they decide to continue paying for my education. But, it turned out to be some assessment program for future nation leaders. Me? A leader of the nation? April Fool's came a tad too late.
I'm having the last laugh though. I had fun, learnt a thing or two and of course met those oh-so-brilliant and cool people. It was no doubt a great respite from the tedium of reading up for exams.
For now, it's back to the real world; one that has one whole exams-infested week. And since I utilised my weekend having fun rather than poring over textbooks, I'm more sure than ever that I'm going to flunk.
