Ka-ching!

Da Vinci Code, the movie, might not evoke the same excitement as its source material but is still watchable. The flashbacks and Ian McKellen as Sir Leigh Teabing, particularly, are the saving grace to what would otherwise be a boring film.

Apart from the less than wonderful performance from Tom Hanks, I hate the amount of product placement by Sony. There are scenes purely devised to showcase the products. It makes you wonder if the controversial book was only made into film to double as a glorified 149 minutes advertisement for Sony's flatscreen TVs and phones.
