Your children have grown;
And you never made your wife moan;
And people make you nervous,
You'd think the world is ending;
And everybody's features have somehow started blending,
And everything is plastic,
And everyone's sarcastic,
And all your food is frozen,
It needs to be defrosted. - Regina Spektor
Shazzy never fails to delight me with her eclectic taste in music. Thanks to her, I'm now addicted to Regina Spektor. There are wisdom and truth ("The world is everlasting; It's coming and it's going") in Regina's songs that appeal to me instinctively. That playful manner with which she delivers those whimsical lyrics ("I set all the bottle caps I own afloat; And it's the greatest voyage in the history of plastic") makes her songs fun without the need to sing along to them. Even if you're tempted to do so, it's hard to duplicate that versatile voice of hers.

When I speak of addiction, I don't mean it in a I'm-addicted-to-raisins way. I really should stop keeping The Ghost of Corporate Future on repeat if I don't want to end up having weekly Regina Anonymous meetings.
